4-Day Six Sigma Green Belt Training Class

This class is an accelerated version of the typical two-week Green Belt class.  This format is recommended for small groups of 12 students or less, where the students are comprised of motivated staff who can quickly grasp new concepts and have some experience in leading teams.  This type of student thrives on this accelerated format, and can sometimes be bored with the pace of the two-week class.  If the students are less experienced in leading teams, or unfamiliar with process implementations in a business environment, then the two-week format is a better choice.

The class teaches the basics of the Six Sigma concept and the DMAIC methods, to the Green Belt level.  While reference is made to statistical software tools using Excel and MiniTab, and the charts produced by these packages are studied, no instruction is included on the detailed use of the software.  It is recommended that after Green Belt training is complete, and before Black Belt training begins, students that need detailed software operation instruction in MiniTab and Excel statistical macros take a separate course in those subjects. A two-week Black Belt training and certification course is offered by Ephemeris Consulting Group that builds on this Green Belt course (Black Belt certification requires execution of a real project in addition to the course work).

Ephemeris Consulting Group certification of Green Belt training is provided at the conclusion of the course.  Documentation of real project implementation is not required for Green Belt certification, though it is for Black Belt certification. An examination testing the course subject matter is given at the end of the training, with the results reviewed in the class and the correct answers discussed.  Test scores are recorded and reported to the client company.
